On 16 December 2016, Vladimir Putin visited Japan, at the invitation of Shinzo Abe, for a summit on resolving a 71 year dispute between Russia and Japan over the Kuril islands, a handful of islands east of Hokkaido Japan. The summit did not conclude with a change in the status quo of the Kuril islands.
A day or so before the visit, Nippon TV Japan travelled to Russia to interview Putin. During the interview, Putin signalled that Russia would not change her position on the sovereignty of the Kuril islands. Remarkably, the interview also brought up Russia’s emerging strategic partnership with China.
“We have never had such a level of trust with China before. … We have similar positions on major international issues or even, as diplomats say, our views are identical. We often have shared positions on key issues of the modern international agenda.”
– Vladimir Putin, December 2016
Why is this remarkable?
First of all, let me say that in Japanese the word “Nippon” にっぽん means “the sun’s origin”. Japan considers herself the land of the rising sun. In WW2, Japan tried to establish an “empire of the sun”, but failed.
Even though Japan considers herself the far east, geographically the Kuril islands are further east than Japan.
The fact the Kuril islands are currently a part of Russia means Russia is technically a nation of the far east. Therefore, in these end times, Vladimir Putin must be one of the biblical kings of the east. The other, of course, is China’s Xi Jinping, because China is in a position to muster a 200 million strong army.
“And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.”
– Revelation 16:12
“And the sixth angel sounded… And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.”
– Revelation 9:13-16
“So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.”
– Isaiah 59:19
I have previously noted that there might only be two kings of the east: China & Russia. Two would be enough for the plural, “kings”.
I have known about China since my first book in 2013. I only started to figure out Russia in August 2016. Now I am sure of it.
