War in Yemen between Arabs & Houthis: the prophecy of Isaiah 21

In March 2015, civil war broke out in Yemen, between the Houthis, i.e. Shia Muslims, and those loyal to the government of Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi, i.e. Sunni Muslims. When the fighting reached Aden, and Hadi fled the country, a coalition of Arab nations led by Saudi Arabia, supported by intelligence from the United States, launched military operations in an attempt to restore the government of Hadi. At the same time, Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) and the Islamic State (ISIS), both on the side of Sunni Muslims, managed to seize swathes of Yemen. On the other side, the Houthis are said to be supported by Iran.

It seems to me, now, that this ongoing war in Yemen is the prophecy of Isaiah 21.

Yemen in the south of the Arabian peninsula is essentially a desert surrounded by sea.

“The burden of the desert of the sea. As whirlwinds in the south pass through; so it cometh from the desert, from a terrible land.”
– Isaiah 21:1

Isaiah 21 mentions the following actors and belligerents:

  • Tema (תימא): Yemen
  • Elam (עילם) and Media (מדי): Iran
  • Arabia (ערב): Saudi Arabia and/or Gulf states
  • Dumah (דומה): a region of Arabia
  • Dedanim (דדני) or Dedan: a region of Arabia
  • Kedar (קדר): Bedouin, in Saudi Arabia
  • Babylon (בבל) or Babel: USA

As of now, all of the aforementioned happen to be involved in the war in Yemen.

In my opinion, Isaiah 21 is an end times prophecy because there is a part that reads “Babylon is fallen, is fallen”.

“And, behold, here cometh a chariot of men, with a couple of horsemen. And he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the graven images of her gods he hath broken unto the ground.”
– Isaiah 21:9

The repetition of the words “is fallen” occurs also in Revelation 14:8 and Revelation 18:2.

“And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.”
– Revelation 14:8

“And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.”
– Revelation 18:2

With that in mind, notice that Isaiah 21:2 reads “the treacherous dealer dealeth treacherously”, and then exhorts Elam and Media to do something.

“A grievous vision is declared unto me; the treacherous dealer dealeth treacherously, and the spoiler spoileth. Go up, O Elam: besiege, O Media; all the sighing thereof have I made to cease.”
– Isaiah 21:2

Days ago, it was reported that a US navy ship in the Red Sea, the USS Mason, had been attacked with missiles by the Iranian backed Houthis, at least 3 times, but the missiles failed to hit the ship. In response, the US navy launched cruise missiles and destroyed 3 radar sites on the coast of Yemen, controlled by the Houthis.

Yesterday, in a twist, US navy officials mentioned that they were uncertain whether the USS Mason had in fact come under attack or whether the radar of the USS Mason had instead malfunctioned.

The treacherous dealer dealeth treacherously!

By the way, notice the name of the US navy ship, “USS Mason”. Mason, as in Freemasonry.

Even more interesting is that immediately after the US navy carried out its first direct strikes against the Houthis in Yemen since the war began in 2015, reportedly, Iran sent 2 warships to the Gulf of Aden.

Elam and Media, per Isaiah 21:2!

As things are now in Yemen, October 2016, analysts say, the Houthis and Iran are winning, and those on the side of Saudi Arabia are losing. Note that this happens to be consistent with the final 2 lines of Isaiah 21.

“For thus hath the Lord said unto me, Within a year, according to the years of an hireling, and all the glory of Kedar shall fail: And the residue of the number of archers, the mighty men of the children of Kedar, shall be diminished: for the LORD God of Israel hath spoken it.”
– Isaiah 21:16-17
